Tedford Housing is seeking per diem shelter support staff to join our emergency shelter team in Brunswick.
This is a non-benefitted position, with a rate of pay of $21/hour with a 3rd shift differential of $2/hour.
Acting in a direct-service role, this position will support a safe and secure environment for all guests, contribute to the program by engaging with guests, assist with house activities, and ensure that house rules and guidelines are followed. Shelter support staff conduct initial intakes for guests, maintain basic client records and provide orientation for those entering the shelter. Shelter staff are also responsible for light cleaning duties and organization of commons spaces.
Tedford Housing is looking for organized and energetic team members demonstrating good judgement, a positive attitude, flexibility, with a commitment to the mission of empowering people to move from homelessness to home.
The shelter is 365 days a year, 24 hours a day.
This right person for this role will have a flexible schedule, as shifts will include evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
Position Qualifications: The position is ideal to begin or expand your experience and skills in a human services setting. Two years of experience is preferred with a minimum of a high school or GED education.
