Moving into a new home after experiencing homelessness is a major step—but many of our guests arrive at shelter with very few personal belongings, and often leave shelter needing to start over from scratch. Throughout a guest’s stay, Tedford regularly provides essential items like toiletries, hygiene products, cleaning supplies, bedding, and other everyday necessities to help people feel safe, comfortable, and cared for during a difficult time.

When guests move into housing of their own, we help them take the next step by providing “Move-Out Kits” filled with basic household essentials. These kits may include kitchen supplies, bedding, towels, cleaning products, toiletries, and other items that help turn an empty apartment into a home. These simple items can make a meaningful difference as individuals and families begin rebuilding stability and independence.

We kindly request NEW, unopened donations for clients. Providing new items allows guests to begin this next chapter with belongings that are truly their own. While we deeply appreciate the generosity behind gently used donations, we are limited in what we can safely store and distribute.
