He found shelter at Tedford Housing’s Winter Warming Center at night, which gave him the stability he needed to focus on job applications and improving his health during the day.

Unable to work due to a disability since 2010, he faced mounting challenges trying to make ends meet on a fixed income. Her journey with housing insecurity began at the age of 13 when family circumstances forced her to find shelter wherever she could. She spent her teenage years couch surfing, often trading chores or odd jobs for a night’s stay.
